Student Achievement
At Oasis Academy Aspinal we want our students to enjoy learning, make great progress and achieve exceptional outcomes. In order to do this we use a range of methods to determine what each individual student does well and develop the areas they need to improve upon.
Our lessons are planned carefully to take into account the strengths and the developmental areas of every pupil in order to enable them to progress in each subject. In addition to the assessment for learning that take place in class, we report formally to parents and carers throughout the year. These reports contain information about progress and attainment in every subject as well as important learning information such as attendance, home learning, effort and next steps.
Parent/Carer Partnerships
We value our partnerships with parents and carers.
Parents’ evenings are held termly to discuss your child’s progress. Full reports are issued at the end of each academic year. Every Friday we hold a whole academy assembly to celebrate the week’s achievements. In addition to parents’ evenings, if you have concerns we encourage you to make an appointment at any time during the year to discuss anything connected with your child’s education or wellbeing.
Each half term we hold parent and child workshops on a different aspect of the curriculum where parents are given the opportunity to support their childs learning in school.
