Once again all pupils took part in our annual Safeguarding Week in March. It was a great success and the pupils were really engaged.
Many thanks to the parents who attended our recent coffee morning. We shared the success of Phase 1 Active Families, and
recruited some new families for Phase 2.
This year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Tuesday March 5th. Our theme this year is Space
Our school councillors recently nominated two Anti-Bullying Ambassadors from each class in KS2. They were chosen to represent the class as they are always reliable and demonstrate many of the 9 Habits that we are trying to practise every day eg Honesty, Compassion and Humility.
As part of e-safety week, pupils attended an assembly by Emma Pilling from Manchester Healthy Schools.
This half term we have been running a new initiative called Active Families. Over 10 families have taken part in 6 sessions designed to raise levels of activity for children and their families.
Thank you for your kind donations ahead of the KS2 Harvest assembly. We collected six boxes like the one illustrated – filled with food and toiletries for families in need in the local area.
In November. Classes at Oasis Academy Aspinal took part in an initiative called INSPIRE which encourages children
to become peacemakers of the future.
Last week we were delighted to welcome celebrated storyteller, Jan Blake into our academy.
